Quick Update about Engine/UI
Just wanted to quickly say that I'm still working on this! In fact, despite the few updates here, quite a lot has happened. It's just stuff that's harder to share.
In short, I wrote a custom interpreter for my story. It includes choices, variable handling, control logic, parse-time error catching, organizational tools, and more. I feel a lot better writing stories in the domain-specific language it uses than I did writing in choicescript, though I haven't gotten the same month-long free time as when I wrote my first 100k words, so no big stories done in it yet, and I haven't migrated the old one over either.
I also recently got a version up that works with an html page display. Unfortunately, the python server side would be difficult to embed into only an html file like the choicescript version could, so I would probably need to host something server side for the python, which would be extra technical setup and money that I'm not ready to do just yet. So short story short, I am working on this, but there isn't much to show here right now.
I do hope to get something relatively "complete" done though. I'd like to work on polishing a shorter section, maybe around 10k-20k words. I am also going to work slowly on a good UI for the html version. So progress is happening!
